IBM Interview Experiences

I was asked about all the technical jargon on my resume and about my projects and internships. Interview was with 2 people only 45 min total. For example, they asked me about git and they asked me about feature engineering and vectorization (because I had ML projects on my resume)!

Phone screen with recruiter then another call with ops team, then take home assignment analyzing some operations problem. Haven't done the final round yet but people have been nice and the take home was interesting.

Most of the question where behavioral like why IBM, what does IBM stand for, how did you hear about this position, Are you familiar with the tech stack required for this position.

Interview was mostly behavioral with a "technical" question of how I would implement a specific project. Recruiter didn't respond after the interview but got the offer after a few weeks of silence.

They wanted OpenShift or IBM Cloud experience and I've mostly used GCP, I think that hurt me. Recruiter screen was a 20 min phone call, then the technical interview dug into cloud architecture.

I was asked basic stuff like the 4 principles of Object Oriented Programming, what Docker and Kubernetes was, and some behavioral questions.

Had an OA and then invited for a 1-hour-long interview. Interviewers were pretty chill, basic behavioural and technical OOP questions. Asked me to debug a snippet of code in a language of my choice, also very simple. (16 month role). Declined offer since I got another job down the line

Asked questions on my resume and basic behavioral. Technical was a medium 2D array question.

A lot of "describe a time..." and "explain a situation where..." questions. Very standard, but interviewer didn't feel that personal and it felt like talking to a brick wall most of the time. No technical questions.

Third round was basically a formality. Got the job, Video call first then technical on REST APIs and cloud.

1. Tell me about yourself 2. Asked low level c questions. “What’s happens when you use malloc”. 3. Coding section. Leetcode easy. Was very simple question about arrays. Triple nested for loop for solution.
