Look up suncor's values before going in, they came up a few times. Hirevue first with 4 to 5 behavioral questions. Second round was Teams with a team lead and HR, one hour split between behavioral and some technical questions about mechanical systems and process equipment.

Keep your unit ops textbook handy before this one. Technical interview was with two process engineers from the upgrader side. Went into fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer and then a distillation column scenario where I had to go through what happens when feed composition changes. Safety culture questions came up in both the technical and HR rounds, stopping work authority and recognizing unsafe conditions. They also asked about any plant visit or field experience. Thorough but not impossible.

They were looking for specifics on how I've handled criticism from a supervisor. Hire vue was 5 questions including why Suncor and why engineering. Second round with 3 people, lots of teamwork and safety framing. Not bad but Calgary oil patch roles are competitive.
