Business and Computer Science Interview Experiences

Was expecting heavy technicals going into the first round but really just SQL queries and theory about how you would go about implementing some APIs for financial data was surprised there was no live coding.

One 15 min phone call with HR then 30 minute interview with manager. He asked a lot about my university background like courses and ECs and we chatted at the end for a bit about hobbies and football.

It was fairly easy interview. A few rounds but nothing insane, few technical questions. Had an amazing time with my interviewers, even spent 20 minutes talking about Basketball.

Had an OA and then invited for a 1-hour-long interview. Interviewers were pretty chill, basic behavioural and technical OOP questions. Asked me to debug a snippet of code in a language of my choice, also very simple. (16 month role). Declined offer since I got another job down the line

Plum test online then one round with hiring manager asked about situations where some KPI dropped 15% and how you would go about finding out why then super easy SQL to filter out the business kids.

Had a leetcode style OA and a virtual job tryout (pick which of these statements describe your more, etc.) Then, I was invited for a power day with 3 back-to-back interview. 1 technical live coding round, 1 behavioural round, and 1 case study round. Entire process was very fast, from application to offer took less than a month. (Position is based in the US)

Highly techinical interview about JavaScript frameworks and backend design. I was also asked very in-depth behavioural questions with lots of follow-ups. Didn't make it to the second and final round, which was live-coding, but the hiring manager still wanted to keep in touch since he liked my answers.
